O Conselho de Ministros angolano identificou hoje a falta de escolas, escassa cobertura do abastecimento de água e estradas e transportes insuficientes como os principais problemas da capital, Luanda, numa sessão especial liderada pelo Presidente, João Lourenço.
Segundo uma informação partilhada na página de Facebook da Presidência da República de Angola, o governador provincial, Manuel Homem, apresentou ao Presidente angolano uma exposição detalhada dos temas críticos da capital, com o propósito de identificar problemas e procurar respostas.
Além do número insuficiente de escolas (estimando-se que estejam em falta 1.100 estabelecimentos), apenas 30 a 40% dos dez milhões de munícipes de Luanda têm abastecimento de água, apontou Manuel Homem.
A rede viária insuficiente e um serviço de transportes muito aquém da procura foram outros dos problemas indicados, estimando-se que “1.000 quilómetros de vias precisam de ser optimizadas, sem esquecer os arruamentos no interior dos bairros”, refere a página da Presidência, chamando também a atenção para a necessidade urgente de “transporte em massa como o Metro de Superfície”.
