ELEITA LUZIA POLICARPO COMO SECRETÁRIA DA OMA EM LUANDA
Luzia Policarpo foi eleita, terça-feira 26, secretária provincial de Luanda da Organização da Mulher Angolana (OMA), em acto testemunhado pelo responsável máximo do MPLA na capital do país, Manuel Homem.
A nova líder da organização feminina do MPLA em Luanda foi confirmada durante a 1ª assembleia provincial extraordinária, orientada pela secretária-geral-adjunta da OMA, Esperança Pires.
Depois de eleita, Luzia Policarpo prometeu trabalhar para a educação, unidade e luta contra a violência doméstica, mal em que as mulheres e crianças são as principais vítimas, lembrando que sempre buscou o progresso e o bem-estar das famílias.
Já o primeiro-secretário provincial do MPLA em Luanda, Manuel Homem, reiterou que as mulheres angolanas, sob liderança da OMA, “ontem obreiras da liberdade, hoje defensoras da pátria, da reconstrução e unidade nacional”, estão comprometidas e continuam a ser o baluarte no processo de luta pelos seus direitos, protecção da criança e na consolidação da família.
De acordo com Manuel Homem, a Comissão Executiva do MPLA em Luanda tem acompanhado as assembleias de balanço e de renovação da OMA, na base, visando fortalecer as estruturas e o papel de liderança junto das comunidades, dos grupos sociais mais carenciados, incluindo as camponesas, vendedoras ambulantes, zungueiras, trabalhadoras domésticas e outras que no dia a dia se sacrificam para educar e garantir o sustento dos filhos.
“Temos a plena consciência das dificuldades vivenciadas, hoje, pelas famílias em Luanda, mas não podemos ignorar o facto de a província registar avanços significativos no empoderamento feminino e as mulheres estão em melhores condições para alcançarem todo o potencial em igualdade de oportunidades”, realçou o dirigente político do MPLA.
Por seu turno, a secretária-geral-adjunta da OMA, Esperança Pires, também reconheceu que Luanda não é uma praça fácil, alertando Luzia Policarpo sobre os “muitos desafios nos seus ombros”, pedindo à recém-eleita que seja “uma mãe e mulher congregadora, que tenha ouvidos para ouvir e extrair aquilo que é necessário”.
Enquanto isso, a secretária provincial cessante da OMA, Ana Maria Alves, depois de fazer um balanço positivo durante o mandato, justificou a retirada com a necessidade de se dedicar exclusivamente ao Parlamento, como deputada.
Além da eleição de Luzia Policarpo, a 1ª assembleia extraordinária da OMA em Luanda serviu, igualmente, para a apresentação da Resolução 01/BP/2023 sobre a cessação das secretárias provinciais da organização e dos primeiros secretários provinciais da JMPLA eleitos deputados à Assembleia Nacional nas Eleições Gerais de 24 de Agosto de 2022.
