Segundo a nota de imprensa que o Jornal Hora H teve acesso, participaram na cerimónia diplomatas das duas embaixadas, convidados do oitavo município da Comuna de Roma, onde se encontra localizado o busto, funcionários das duas Missões Diplomáticas e membros da comunidade angolana em Itália.
Numa declaração a Embaixadora Fátima Jardim afirmou “Hoje todos reflectimos sobre Agostinho Neto, Herói nacional e primeiro Presidente da nossa Pátria a quem devemos à independência à liberdade e orgulho de como angolanos trabalharmos para construirmos com o trabalho um homem novo “
