UNEP RETOMA PERFURAÇÃO ONSHORE COM O BLOCO KON-11 A
A unidade de Negócios de Exploração e Produção da Sonangol (UNEP) deu início aos trabalhos preparatórios para a perfuração e avaliação do Bloco KON-11, na Bacia do Kwanza, marco que assinala a retoma da actividade de exploração petrolífera terrestre, em Angola, disse no Jornal Hora H, nesta sexta-feira 01, uma fonte próxima aquela instituição.

Segundo a fonte, a constatação deste importante feito para a indústria petrolífera angolana, que se destaca pela reactivação do campo que foi descoberto em 1966 e suspendeu as suas actividades na década de 90, foi feita in place, pelo Ministro do sector, Diamantino Azevedo que, acompanhado pelo Secretário de Estado para o Petróleo e Gás, José Barroso, manifestou a sua satisfação por este desiderato e parabenizou a equipa envolvida, pela proeza.
“Este projecto está abrangido pela estratégia de exploração que foi aprovada e está a ser implementada”, salientou.
A execução das operações do Bloco KON-11 – sigla resultante da combinação das palavras Kwnaza On Shore – é da responsabilidade de um consórcio constituído pela UNEP, na qualidade de operadora, com 30%, a Brite’s Oil and Gas, com 25%, o Grupo Simples Oil e a Apex, cada uma com 20%, e a Omega Risk Solutions Angola, com 5%.
Para o Presidente da Comissão Administrativa, Gaspar Martins sublinhou que, tendo em consideração o facto do campo se encontrar numa zona de conservação natural, a Sonangol garantiu, através de estudos de impacto ambiental, que as operações não causarão danos ao local, nem aos habitantes que residem nas redondezas.
“É nosso apanágio garantir as condições de segurança e preservação e, por termos cumprido com estas medidas, foi-nos concedida a licença ambiental”, observou, fazendo referência à autorização concedida pelo Ministério do Ambiente.
De acordo com a fonte do Hora H, este projecto destaca-se ainda por ter sido a primeira vez que os estudos de avaliação de um bloco foram feitos exclusivamente por quadros angolanos, facto que orgulha o PCE da UNEP, Ricardo Van-Deste.
“A nossa estratégia de exploração prevê o desenvolvimento do capital humano e esta foi a oportunidade perfeita para os nossos técnicos fazerem a avaliação do reservatório, planificação do poço e acompanhamento das operações que será feita também por pessoal nacional”, realçou.
Em caso de resultados promissores, após a perfuração dos poços Tobias 13 que terá início nos próximos dias, o consórcio deverá efectuar um levantamento geológico para melhor mapear as estruturas do Bloco, sem prejudicar o desenvolvimento preliminar destinado ao reinício da produção.
