MAIS DETIDOS APÓS APREENSÃO DE 1,5 MILHÕES USD: SIC SUSPEITA PESOS-PESADOS POR DETRÁS DO ESQUEMA
Mais três cidadãos de nacionalidade guineense e um angolano foram detidos pelo Serviço de Investigação Criminal (SIC) por ligações ao caso da tentativa de passar mais de 1,5 milhões USD de Angola para Addis-Abeba, Etiópia.
OSIC informa agora, depois de na segunda-feira ter anunciado apenas uma detenção, que deteve estas quatro pessoas no mesmo momento e desconfia que ainda há mais indivíduos importantes e bem conhecidos envolvidas neste esquema.
O porta-voz geral do SIC, Manuel Halaiwa, disse nesta quarta-feira, 16, ao Novo Jornal, que, “apesar da detenção destes indivíduos, com idades compreendidas entre os 27 e os 59, suspeita-se que estes não são os verdadeiros donos do dinheiro e que há pessoas bem conhecidas e importantes por detrás deste esquema”.
Tendo em conta que o cidadão angolano, quando foi questionado pelos oficiais da Polícia Fiscal Aduaneira, declarou que o dinheiro não lhe pertence e não deu mais detalhes sobre os seus verdadeiros donos, o SIC baseia-se neste facto para desconfiar do envolvimento de mais indivíduos na quadrilha.
Os homens foram apanhados na segunda-feira, no Aeroporto Internacional de Luanda, ao mesmo tempo que foram apreendidos, antes do embarque, 1.588.850 mil dólares norte-americanos, num voo com destino a Addis-Abeba, na Etiópia.
Estes valores estavam numa mochila de mão e foram detectados na sala de verificação de bagagens.
Quanto aos indivíduos, o SIC assegura que estão detidos e serão encaminhados para o juiz de garantia, mas as investigações vão continuar no sentido de se apurar a verdadeira dimensão da “rede”.
