A UNITA, que considera que a eleição de Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, de 77 anos, como Presidente, este domingo, 30 de Outubro, com 50,90 de votos, prova que aquele País é maduro em democracia, aproveita a vitória do candidato do Partido dos Trabalhadores para mandar um recado ao MPLA: “Angola deve seguir o exemplo do Brasil” no que toca à “forma transparente como realiza os seus pleitos eleitorais”.
“Nos próximos cinco anos Angola deve trabalhar com o Brasil nas matérias ligadas ao processo eleitoral”, referiu o porta-voz da UNITA.
“Vimos como é que o presidente do Tribunal Supremo Eleitoral actuou na hora, endireitando ali ou acolá as coisas. Poderá ter havido um ou outro erro, mas as coisas correram muito bem”, estimou o porta-voz da UNITA, sublinhando que “não se pode comparar com o que aconteceu em Angola, onde a Comissão Nacional Eleitoral (CNE) e o Tribunal Constitucional (TC) estiveram como apêndice do partido no poder”.
“A máquina organizativa do processo eleitoral brasileiro é um exemplo a seguir. Não obstante existirem durante a campanha eleitoral alguns incidentes entre os apoiantes dos dois candidatos, estes não prejudicaram as eleições”, acrescentou, destacando Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva como um “fenómeno político”.
Lula da Silva foi eleito presidente do Brasil depois de vencer a segunda volta das presidenciais com 50,9% dos votos. Jair Bolsonaro ficou em segundo lugar, com 49,1%.
