60% DOS PACIENTES INTERNADOS NO HOSPITAL DOS QUEIMADOS SÃO CRIANÇAS

O número de pacientes internados por queimaduras no Hospital Geral Especializado “Neves Bendinha”, em Luanda, é de 60%, uma percentagem que é representada maioritariamente por crianças.

“Temos demanda não só de Luanda como das demais províncias, mas temos dado resposta dentro das condições que temos criadas para o atendimento desses pacientes”, afirmou à RNA, o Director-Geral do “Hospital dos Queimados”, Dadi Bucusso Netemo.
A unidade especializada tem visto o número de doentes aumentar, uma vez que é a única em Luanda e a única no país.
“A média é entre os 10 a 15 pacientes, enquanto os internamentos são entre os 5 a 10 no banco de urgências”, porém “o ambulatório até anda acima dos 150 doentes por dia, ou seja, faz mais de 150 curativos por dia” o que faz com que os materiais como as compressas, as ligaduras, os antibióticos e outros fármacos sejam gastos devido à demanda elevada e consequentemente obriga a que o hospital tenha de criar condições para dar resposta à procura, explicou o especialista em cirurgia plástica.
Os problemas de queimaduras que afectam 60% dos pacientes internados envolvem, sobretudo, as crianças e são motivados por água quente, em acidentes no domicílio, que envolvem o chá, disse.
Como forma de mitigar o impacto deste tipo de ocorrências, o Hospital vai criar um projecto educativo em que vai recorrer a “bandas desenhadas, com histórias curtas e palavras para sensibilizar e mostrar o perigo”, sublinhou, enfatizando que é importante que “os pacientes saibam quais são os cuidados que devemos ter em casa com líquidos, com botijas de gás, com petróleos, com gasolinas, porque são esses os elementos que constam nas causas destas situações”, esclareceu Dadi Bucusso Netemo.
