As autoridades judiciais espanholas decidiram pedir mais provas forenses sobre a morte de José Eduardo dos Santos, falecido em 8 de julho, embora os primeiros resultados da autópsia apontem para causas naturais.
Segundo informou esta sexta-feira o Tribunal Superior de Justiça da Catalunha, o Tribunal de Instrução de Barcelona decidiu que o Instituto de Medicina Legal vai manter a custódia do corpo, o que irá atrasar a sua entrega à família e funeral do ex-presidente angolano.

As sociedades de advogados que aconselham Tchizé dos Santos, denunciam a “pressão” que Angola está a exercer para que o corpo do ex-Presidente seja entregue e realizar um funeral de Estado, o que vai contra os desejos de José Eduardo dos Santos segundo tem referido a sua filha.
Segundo um documento emitidos pelos advogados, citado pela EFE, o actual governo de Angola declarou “guerra” ao círculo de Dos Santos e à sua família que, desde então, tem sofrido “uma forte pressão política”, que levou a que o ex-presidente tenha decidido exilar-se voluntariamente em Espanha.
Tchizé dos Santos tem afirmado ser desejo do seu pai ter um funeral privado e ser enterrado em Espanha, recusando um funeral de Estado em Angola “que possa favorecer o actual governo”.
Os resultados preliminares da autópsia apontam para uma “morte natural” devido a problemas “de insuficiência cardíaca” e “infecção pulmonar”, segundo uma fonte próxima do processo citada pela AFP.
José Eduardo dos Santos morreu em 08 de julho, aos 79 anos, numa clínica em Barcelona, Espanha, após semanas de internamento e o Governo angolano decretou sete dias de luto nacional.
