UNITA ACUSA GOVERNO DE DESTRUIR O POVO E APELA A UNIÃO PARA A MATERIALIZAÇÃO DAS AUTARQUIAS LOCAIS
Aproximando-se o 48.º aniversário da independência de Angola a 11 de Novembro de 2023, o Secretariado Executivo do Comité Permanente da Comissão da UNITA, numa declaração alusivo a data enviada à redação do Jornal Hora H, acusa o governo angolano de destruir a dignidade do cidadão angolano e exorta o povo a unir os propósitos e acções que visam materializar a institucionalização das autarquias locais, em simultâneo e em todos os municípios do país.

Segundo o documento, datado de 10 de Novembro de 2023 que o Jornal Hora H teve acesso, o secretariado Nacional da UNITA que saudou todos os angolanos e reiterou o seu compromisso para a instauração de um verdadeiro Estado Democrático e de Direito e de uma genuína Reconciliação Nacional, entende que a corrupção e a partidarização das instituições do Estado, é a razão da destruição da dignidade do cidadão angolano
A declaração diz ainda que a defesa e apelo permanentes por um Estado Democrático de Direito, pela economia de mercado e pela paz social, juntam as vozes da UNITA e das Organizações da Sociedade Civil.
O dia 11 de Novembro de 1975, segundo a nota, foi escolhido, pelos consignatários do Acordo do Alvor (Portugal, FNLA, MPLA e UNITA), como a data da proclamação da independência de Angola. Este acto histórico seria o culminar de todo um processo que seria, entre outros, precedido da realização das eleições para a Assembleia Constituinte.
“Tal não sucedeu devido às circunstâncias históricas globais que influenciaram negativamente a ambição de um dos movimentos de libertação (MPLA) que, sistematicamente, violou o Acordo do Alvor e em Agosto de 1975 expulsou, militarmente, os outros dois movimentos de Luanda e proclamou unilateralmente, a 11 de novembro daquele ano, a independência reconhecida imediatamente por alguns países, mas que 48 anos depois, continua a não realizar o objectivo dos nacionalistas angolanos, a dignidade para o seu povo”.
