MINISTRO BAPTISTA BORGES PARTICIPA NO FÓRUM SOBRE ENERGIA E AMBIENTE
O Ministro da Energia e Águas, João Baptista Borges, participou nesta sexta-feira, 09, do corrente mês, no fórum denominado “Energia e Ambiente”, um evento realizado pelo Jornal Expansão, com o tema: “Transição Energética em Angola”.
O fórum teve como objectivo apontar caminhos, sugerir medidas de política e acções para garantir a industrialização do País.
O discurso de abertura foi proferido pelo Ministro João Baptista Borges, onde ressaltou que a transição energética de Angola move as atenções da sociedade angolana e vai criando cada vez mais benefícios sócioeconómicos.
Angola está entre as principais nações produtoras de petróleo de África, com reservas de petróleo estimadas em 9 biliões de barris e reservas de gás avaliadas em 11 triliões de pés cúbicos.
O processo de transição energética nacional integra igualmente uma ampla reforma no quadro regulamentar e legal, de forma a integrar políticas que promovem preços competitivos e maior atractividade para o sector privado no mercado das energias renováveis.
No campo da energia solar, destacou o Ministro, que o posicionamento geográfico de Angola proporciona ao país um potencial de energia solar com excelente intensidade e regularidade.
O titular do pelouro fez saber que o Governo de Angola instalou, nos últimos 5 anos, mais de 330 MW de capacidade solar e vai construir até ao final de 2027, mais de 900 MW desta capacidade e mais de 1000 MW de capacidade de armazenamento em baterias, que beneficiarão cerca de 7 (sete) milhões de pessoas, nas províncias da Lunda-Norte, Lunda-Sul, Moxico, Malanje, Cunene, Huíla, Namibe e Bié, respectivamente.
O fórum sobre Energia e Ambiente contou com a presença de entidades oficiais, diplomatas, directores nacionais, empresários, quadros superiores e médios, académicos, consultores, entre outras individualidades, afirmou.
