A Sonangol procedeu, nesta quinta-feira, 1 de Junho, em Milão, Itália, ao acto formal de recepção de um helicóptero da marca Augusta Westland 139, fabricado naquele país pela empresa Leonardo.

Segundo a missiva que o Hora H teve acesso, o AW 139, primeiro de uma encomenda de dois aparelhos, é um meio moderno, bastante sofisticado, com uma capacidade máxima de 12 lugares, que vem reforçar a frota de meios de Asa Rotativa da Sonair, para a actividade central da empresa vocacionada ao suporte à indústria petrolífera no país.
“A recepção oficial do helicóptero foi feita pelo Administrador Executivo da Sonangol Jorge Vinhas, em representação do Presidente do Conselho de Administração da petrolífera nacional” disse a fonte.
De acordo com a missiva, depois das habituais assinaturas, o Supervisor de Gerenciamento de Contratos e Operadores de Frota da empresa Leonardo, Francisco Pasini, agradeceu e realçou a relação entre Angola e Itália. “Celebramos um importante passo ao entregarmos o primeiro helicóptero à Sonair. É um primeiro passo para outros grandes projectos e estamos em crer que a Sonangol e Sonair alcançarão um padrão superior operando este helicóptero na indústria petrolífera angolana”, afirmou.
O Administrador Executivo Jorge Vinhas, por sua vez, considerou a aquisição do novo helicóptero como um investimento estratégico e um compromisso da Sonangol com a modernização e aprimoramento contínuos. “A Sonangol e a SonAir estão empenhadas em fornecer serviços de qualidade superior aos operadores do sector de Oil & Gas em Angola. O Augusta Westland 139, com sua tecnologia de ponta e recursos avançados, fortalecerá a nossa capacidade de oferecer soluções inovadoras e eficientes para atender às crescentes demandas deste dinâmico sector”, afirmou o Administrador no seu discurso, durante a cerimónia protocolar, ocorrida no hangar da empresa italiana.
Jorge Vinhas destacou com orgulho, o facto de se tratar de um aparelho construído tendo em atenção as preocupações da Sonangol com a sustentabilidade, já que “incorpora tecnologias que reduzem o impacto ambiental e as emissões de carbono, o que alinha com os nossos valores de responsabilidade social e ambiental”.
O gestor realçou, de igual modo, o trabalho árduo dos colaboradores da Sonangol e, particularmente, o compromisso e empenho dos efectivos da Sonair neste processo. “Devemos também lembrar-nos que este aparelho não é apenas um símbolo do progresso da Sonangol e da SonAir, mas, de igual forma, um testemunho do nosso compromisso em contribuir para o desenvolvimento sustentável de Angola, através de investimentos contínuos em tecnologia e inovação e, naturalmente, na formação do homem. Estamos a construir uma indústria de petróleo e gás mais eficiente, responsável e próspera no nosso país”, acrescentou.
O acto formal de entrega é tradicionalmente antecedido por um processo de aceitação, que consiste na verificação técnica minuciosa do aparelho por especialistas e pilotos da Sonair, assim como pela Agência Nacional de Navegação de Angola. O Presidente da Comissão Executiva da Sonair, Alfredo Varo Caputo, que no evento dirige uma equipa multidisciplinar de técnicos da empresa, afirmou que a aquisição desse meio, reforça a frota e, consequentemente, a competitividade, “reforça também a sua presença no mercado offshore que é a nossa principal actividade e, naturalmente, cria maior diversificação de postos de trabalho. A existência de mais meios permitirá a optimização de maiores recursos, sobretudo os que são directamente ligados à operação”.
Em relação à qualidade dos helicópteros Augusta Westland, Varo Caputo disse que a marca e especificações correspondem aos meios eleitos pelas operadoras petrolíferas angolanas e quiçá do mundo. “São helicópteros usados em quase 70 ou 80% das operações offshore no mundo, (…) porque é um elemento que oferece maior capacidade e fiabilidade na sua operação”. Em termos de perspectivas mais imediatas, o responsável da Sonair fala na entrada em funcionamento, em finais deste ano, de quarto aeronaves B1900, meios de Asa Fixa que considera indispensáveis para a conciliação com a Asa Rotativa (helicópteros). São aviões que passaram por reformas na sua quase totalidade.
“A Asa Rotativa (helicóptero) é complementada pela Asa Fixa”. Alfredo Caputo terminou, mencionado as vantagens que os novos meios irão proporcionar num mercado concorrencial. “Para se afirmar no mercado angolano, a Sonair tem de ter as capacidades e certificações inerentes à sua actividade, sobretudo na área de óleo e gás.
