NELITO EKUIKUI É O NOVO LÍDER DA JURA
Manuel Armando da Costa Ekuikui é o novo secretário-geral da Juventude Unida Revolucionária de Angola (JURA), eleito, sexta-feira, durante o V congresso ordinário da organização.
O novo secretário-geral obteve 450 votos, equivalente 79,82 por cento, e derrotou o seu oponente João Lukombo, que obteve 112 votos, num total de 19,82 por cento, num pleito em que participaram 587 delegados provenientes de todo país.
O candidato vencido felicitou o seu novo líder e demonstrou prontidão para apoiar o novo secretário-geral.
Por sua vez, Manuel Ekuikui, que tomou posse na ocasião, disse que a JURA deverá estar alinhada aos objectivos de desenvolvimento sustentável, lutar contra à pobreza, proteger o meio ambiente e o clima.
Acrescentou ainda que a JURA precisa repensar a posição da mulher, equilibrando o género, que considerou ser de extrema importância.
O presidente da UNITA, Adalberto Costa Júnior, que felicitou o novo líder da JURA e a organização da comissão eleitoral pela forma clara e democrática, realçou que a organização juvenil poderá contar sem limite do auxílio da Direcção para os diferentes programas de desenvolvimento da juventude a nível nacional.
O congresso de três dias foi realizado sob o lema “JURA – Inovar e Mobilizar para Vencer”.
A Juventude Revolucionária Unida de Angola foi fundada a 18 de Julho de 1974, por David Janotão, que foi o primeiro presidente da organização juvenil.
