DETIDOS 5 MELIANTES DO GRUPO “FORTALEZA DO CATINTON” POR TRÁFICO DE MARFIM
O Serviço de Investigação Criminal, através da sua Direcção Central de Operações em coordenação operativa com a Policia Nacional, detiveram cinco cidadãos nacionais no bairro Cassequele Distrito Urbano da Maianga província de Luanda, com uma quantidade de Marfins já trabalhados, no interior de uma residência, disse a imprensa o Superintendente Chefe de Investigação Manuel Halaiwa.

Segundo Halaiwa, um dos detidos esta a ser indiciado no crime de tráfico de marfim e homicídio qualificado em razão dos meios.
Manuel Halaiwa, disse ainda que estes individuos fazem parte de um grupo de supostos malfeitores denominados “Fortaleza do Cantinton”, que se dedicavam na prática de vários crimes nos bairros Cassequel do Buraco e Cantinon, situados no Distrito da Maianga, Município de Luanda, sendo que a um dos integrantes do referido grupo que responde pelo nome de Iko Daniel Augusto, tcp por “Tifabu” ou “Dasfaa” de 21 anos de idade, recai fortes indícios de ter praticado o crime de homicídio qualificado em razão dos meios, em que foi vítima um ancião de 67 anos de idade, reformado das FAA, que na madrugada do dia 1 de Janeiro de 2023, no bairro Cantinton, foi morto com recurso a uma faca que lhe foi desferida com vários golpes, na sequência da tentativa de um roubo de motorizada, defronte a sua residência.
De acordo com o homem forte da imprensa do SIC-Geral, acção do marginal foi frustrada pelo filho da vítima que em fuga recolheu-se no interior da residência, numa altura em que este encontrava-se no quintal, tendo sido alvo da brutalidade dos malfeitores.
O porta-voz do SIC referiu que foram apreendidos em posse deste grupo um total de 21,14kgs de marfim já trabalhados em formato esférico e argolas, que de acordo informações obtidas seriam entregues a um cidadão de nacionalidade chinesa para sua respectiva venda.
Os cidadãos ora detidos foram presentes ao Ministério Público que aplicou a medida de coação mais gravosa de prisão preventiva ao homicida e os demais aguardam os ulteriores trâmites processuais.
