A Autoridade Nacional de Inspecção Económica e Segurança Alimentar (ANIESA) encerrou temporariamente os supermercados Shoprite no Lobito e no Lubango, por venda de produtos alimentares com a data de validade expirada, com receio de que estes coloquem em causa a vida da população daquelas localidades.
De acordo com o departamento de comunicação e inovação da ANIESA, fez-se uma inspecção no último fim-de-semana à Shoprite do Lobito, onde foi possível constatar várias irregularidades, tais como o elevado número de alimentos em mau estado de conservação, produtos sem datas de caducidade, preços nas prateleiras que não condizem com a realidade dos preços cobrados na caixa do supermercado.
Foi igualmente fiscalizada a Shoprite da província da Huíla, situada no município do Lubango, onde foram encontrados produtos como arroz, batata, feijão, cebola e alho em mau estado de conservação.
Em algumas mercadorias como mousse, chocolate e bolachas empacotadas colocadas à venda sem data de caducidade, presumindo-se que estes produtos estejam expirados, razão pela qual não exibem a data de caducidade.
Após serem constatadas as irregularidades nos produtos que a empresa Shoprite tem comercializado, a direcção da ANIESA achou por bem suspender temporariamente os estabelecimentos no Lobito e no Lubango, como medida preventiva.
