CASO XTAGIÁRIOS FINANCE: SIC DETÉM DOM SARAMAGO EM BENGUELA
O proprietário da empresa Xtagiarious Finance, Edson de Oliveira, que se encontrava em fuga há vários meses, foi detido na província angolana de Benguela, anunciou hoje 05, o Serviço de Investigação Criminal (SIC).
Segundo o porta-voz do SIC, Edson de Oliveira foi detido quarta-feira em Benguela, depois de ter sido notificado várias vezes pelas autoridades no sentido de comparecer para responder a factos que configuram crimes de usura, associação criminosa e burla por defraudação.
“Não compareceu em sede de várias queixas de cidadãos, que terão sido lesados, numa promessa de reembolso de dinheiros que tinham sido recebidos pelo cidadão Edson Caetano de Oliveira, com um valor de juros de 15% reembolsar este dinheiro”, referiu Manuel Halaiwa.
O porta-voz frisou que as vítimas ficaram lesadas em centenas de milhões de kwanzas.
No âmbito da investigação, o SIC apreendeu, entre 27 e 29 de julho, nove imóveis, localizados no município de Viana, concretamente no distrito urbano do Zango, vulgo Luanda Limpa e selou sete imóveis, situados no Zango 5-8000.
As primeiras reclamações dos clientes da Xtagirious foram feitas em 2021, sendo a apreensão dos bens resultante de 18 processos-crime em curso, onde são queixosos vários cidadãos contra Edson Caetano de Oliveira.
Em 2021, o Banco Nacional de Angola (BNA) em comunicado informou que a Xtagiarious não estava habilitada a exercer qualquer actividade financeira sujeita à sua supervisão, sobretudo na captação de depósitos e aplicações monetárias, actividades reservadas às instituições financeiras bancárias.
A empresa financeira, fundada em 2013 pelo empresário Edson de Oliveira, apresentou-se em abril de 2021 à Forbes Angola como uma ‘start-up’ avaliada em mais de quatro mil milhões de kwanzas (8,5 mil milhões de euros), empregando directamente, na altura, 218 jovens e outros 30 de forma indirecta.
