PENSAMENTO DE NETO ESTUDADO NA FACULDADE DE CIÊNCIAS DO PORTO
A Embaixada de Angola em Portugal homenageou o professor Pires Laranjeira e a Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto pelo empenho na divulgação da obra e exaltação da figura de Agostinho Neto, durante o colóquio internacional “Sou Um Dia em Noite Escura”, realizado na cidade do Porto, no quadro das comemorações do centenário de Neto.
O professor Pires Laranjeira, reconhecido académico da Universidade de Coimbra, tem sido um dos principais investigadores e promotores do papel e da importância que Agostinho Neto teve, não só para Angola, mas também para o mundo, graças a sua visão humanista, consubstanciada na forma como conduziu a Luta de Libertação Nacional e à influência que teve para a emancipação da África Austral, assumindo-se como um líder de inquestionável mérito.
O colóquio internacional “Sou Um Dia em Noite Escura”, acolhido na cidade do Porto, decorre de uma iniciativa da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto, com o apoio da Embaixada de Angola em Portugal, tendo juntado, para o efeito, oradores de diferentes países que dissertaram e debateram, com diferentes visões, a figura, o pensamento e a obra do Fundador da Nação.
A nota de imprensa da Embaixada de Angola em Portugal a que o Jornal de Angola teve acesso, indica que a Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto abriu, há pouco mais de um ano, um espaço para ensino e investigação sobre a organização do pensamento e feitos de Neto, com a designação “Cátedra Agostinho Neto”, um segmento científico aberto a acolher iniciativas que ajudem a promover e a divulgar a figura do primeiro Presidente de Angola. A organização do colóquio, cujo programa foi elaborado pelos professores Francisco Topa, da Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto, e Abreu Paxe, do ISCED de Luanda, deu lugar a diferentes intervenções por conhecidos especialistas de investigação do percurso de Agostinho Neto, entre os quais, Ana Maria Martinho, da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Ana Ribeiro, da Universidade do Minho, Pires Laranjeira, da Universidade de Coimbra, Abreu Paxe, ISCED de Lu-anda, Luigia de Crescenzo, da Universidade de Roma, Nazir Ahmed Can, da Universidade Autónoma de Barcelona, Roberto Vecchi, da Universidade de Bolonha, Xosé Lois García e Francisco Topa, da Universidade do Porto. Ao usar da palavra na cerimónia de abertura, o embaixador angolano em Portugal, Carlos Alberto Fonseca, sublinhou que “este acto (colóquio) constitui em si uma homenagem sublime, pela presença e participação de tão destacados académicos, docentes, ensaístas, poetas, autores, estudiosos do mundo das letras, que honram com o seu saber o estudo da vida e obra de Agostinho Neto”.
O embaixador Carlos Alberto Fonseca realçou que a dimensão poética de Neto impregnou a sua vida, o seu destino e a própria saga heróica de resistência, luta e afirmação de todo um povo, face a um sistema de dominação atroz e anacrónico, até à proclamação da Independência Nacional, consagrando o direito à afirmação de Estado na dimensão das nações livres e soberanas.
“Não podemos falar de Agostinho Neto, enquanto político, sem falar da sua dimensão poética, que fez parte do seu ser enquanto homem político e estadista, do mesmo modo que, também, não podemos ler a sua poesia sem compreender a sua dimensão humanista e política”, frisou o embaixador angolano.
Acrescentou, a propósito, que “as convicções, as motivações de lutador incansável pela liberdade, aglutinador e, ao mesmo tempo, difusor dos valores intrínsecos à honra da dignidade humana, na qual se encontra a dimensão da universalidade em que se fundamentou e para a qual projectou o seu pensamento, são elementos importantes para se compreender, em profundidade, Agostinho Neto.
O embaixador referiu, ainda, que tudo isto está “plasmado nos seus versos, através dos quais nos transporta, com a leitura, para a realidade angolana do seu tempo, com impressionante linguagem poética, capaz de nos transmitir como se presente estivéssemos, tal a clareza e da nitidez tamanha expressão”.
Exposição fotográfica no Museu Militar
O ponto alto do colóquio foi a inauguração de uma exposição fotográfica, denominada “Angolanos de Mãos Dadas para o Futuro”, acompanhada pela distribuição de uma biografia de Agostinho Neto.
Esta exposição, aberta no sábado, 10, composta por 24 fotografias que retratam todo o seu percurso de vida, desde a infância até ao momento da sua morte. Pela oportunidade, a mesma vai estar patente ao público no Museu Militar do Porto, onde Agostinho Neto chegou a estar detido; e vai até ao próximo dia 19 deste mês, data, a partir da qual será exibida nos claustros da Universidade de Coimbra.
Antes da inauguração desta exposição, a professora Ana Rocha, da Universidade de Coimbra, dissertou sobre a filosofia Umbuntu na poesia de Agostinho Neto, enquanto o professor Vicenzo Russo, na Universidade de Bolonha, falou das relações que Agostinho Neto manteve com importantes personalidades do processo italiano anti-colonial, com realce para Joyce Lussu e Giovani Pirelli.
