Após dois anos de interrupção, devido à Covid-19, a edição deste ano da tradicional corrida dos 200 Km da Huíla acontece nos dias 6 e 7 de Agosto, inserida nas Festas da Nossa Senhora do Monte, na cidade do Lubango, com a participação de 50 pilotos, em automobilismo e motos.
O presidente da Associação Provincial dos Desportos Motorizados da Huíla (APDMH), Ivan Santos, disse que as condições técnicas, logísticas e nas pistas estão a ser criadas, para que as corridas decorram com normalidade nas datas previstas.
Segundo ele, as corridas estão inseridas no calendário do Campeonato Nacional de Velocidade. “Inicialmente, houve algum constrangimento em função da incompatibilidade das datas em que se realizam as corridas e, felizmente, está ultrapassado”, disse.
Revelou que os 200 Km da Huíla são tradicionais e há um interesse de vários pilotos em participar. “A ânsia aumenta devido ao interregno de dois anos registado, por conta da pandemia”, frisou.
Ivan Santos confirmou que já estão inscritos pilotos das províncias do Namibe, Huíla, Huambo, Cuando Cubango, Cuanza-Sul, Luanda e Benguela. O presidente da APDMH anunciou o interesse de trazer Victor Barros, piloto a evoluir no Campeonato Europeu da Super Byte.
Relativamente aos prémios, Ivan Santos adiantou que serão atribuídos aos três primeiros lugares das seis categorias, com valores monetários e troféus, incluindo para o piloto que realizar a melhor volta.
Além dos troféus, serão também premiados todos os pilotos participantes. Quanto à pista, explicou que foram feitas duas avaliações ao circuito citadino do Complexo da Nossa Senhora do Monte,e e está em condições para acolher a corrida. Nas próximas duas semanas, como é habitual, serão feitas algumas correcções, fazer alguns melhoramentos e limpar as zonas das boxes, que foram vandalizadas.
